Easter Family Party

We had a fun time at the family party this month. Riana and Shane and their kids and Jared and Becky and their kids came to our house on Conference Saturday. We missed the rest of you! We had fun having an Easter Egg hunt in the basement (since it was yucky outside) and dying eggs. The kids had a great time together. We also had a new family favorite food. It's called "Cralad"....it's just salad with a bunch of "Crap" in it! For those of you who hate nuts, dried fruit etc, (which I know is quite a few of you!) you can just leave them out and have plain "Cralad". Here is the recipe.

Red Leaf Lettuce, Green leaf lettuce, 1/2 thick slices of Deli turkey, cubed: mozarella cheese; Craisens, Sunflower Seeds, Red Onion, Mushrooms. Chop all this up and put it in a bowl.

Dressing: 3/4 Tbsp poppyseeds; 3/4 c canola oil: 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard; 1/3 c White Vinegar: 1/2 c sugar: S&P to taste. Shake it all up and let sit in fridge for awhile. Shake again before serving. (I doubled this for our dinner).
And thanks to my friend Lori, it's her recipe!!!!

So, have a happy Easter, hope to see some more posts on here soon!!!!!

Hello All!
I decided to start this blog in an attempt to stay closer together! I've invited you to be an author so you can post things your family is doing! It is  so easy to post pictures and write a  little blurb about your weekly activities. We can all benefit from this! Our kids will love it, and we will feel more apart of each others lives!! Just take a minute or two once a week (Sunday is a great day!) and write a little about your "adventures along YOUR Chisholm trail!! If you need help posting, me, Becky or Riana can help you out, it's very easy!!!

I also thought that since the parents are far away on a Pacific Island, this would be a fun way to help them see what's happening with all of us here on the Mainland!!! It will also be a great way for us to see the service and great opportunities they are having with the people in Samoa.
So, don't get stressed out, don't freak out about this. It's really a fun way to keep connected and it only takes a few minutes to connect with our family!

Love ya,
Cath
